Senior Accounting Manager, Real Estate Transactions

About the Senior Accounting Manager, Real Estate Transactions role:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform a detailed review of executed legal agreements for accounting implications as it relates to upcoming transactions.
• Partnership with the Investment, Legal and Tax teams to identify investment structures that meet business objectives and result in desired accounting and reporting outcomes.
• Conduct in-depth research on accounting standards and interpretation and assess the impact to complex real estate transactions.
• Interpret new and existing accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the company.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos for various investment transactions as well as corporate accounting policies.
• Assist in preparation of quarterly external reporting disclosures.
• Partner with the Transactions Accounting team for effective and efficient deal integration.
• Provide mentorship and training on technical matters to others in Accounting.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA certification essential
• 7-12 years' experience in Real Estate and Big 4 public accounting highly preferred
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience working on complex real estate transactions with the capability of thinking strategically
• Ability to partner with executive level stakeholders in order to drive efficiencies across the organization
• Highly motivated individual with exceptionally well-rounded interpersonal skills
• Big 4 experience preferred

The Fair market Assumption for this role's base salary is between $100K and $110K annually. The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
