About the Senior Accountant - Real Estate Transactions role:

Key Responsibilities

• Review executed legal agreements for accounting implications
• Assist with technical accounting research and document conclusions within accounting memorandums
• Prepare journal entries for acquisitions, disposition, and other investment activity
• Assist in creation of new investment structures in financial reporting systems
• Develop and maintain accounting estimation models
• Monitor financial results of various investment structures
• Collaborate with other departments (Tax, Investments, Finance) on appropriate accounting treatment for various investment structures
• Collaborate with other accounting teams (such as Leases, Loans, Property accounting, and Partnerships) on the recording of transactions
• Assist in preparation of quarterly external reporting disclosures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA certification essential
• 3-5 years' experience in Real Estate and Big 4 public accounting highly preferred
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience working on complex real estate transactions with the capability of thinking strategically
• Highly motivated individual with exceptionally well-rounded interpersonal skills
• Big 4 experience preferred

The Fair market Assumption for this role's base salary is between $95 and $105K annually. The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
