About the Role

Construction Scheduler

Leading NYC General Contractor specializing in ground-up, high-rise, multifamily and mixed-use projects.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining the project schedules for various construction projects. This includes coordinating timelines, managing resources, and tracking project milestones to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget. The Construction Scheduler will work closely with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that construction projects are executed efficiently and meet all deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software; (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore).
  • Collaborate closely with the project management team (include MEP, Permit & Design teams), contractors, and other stakeholders to create comprehensive project timelines/baselines/critical path schedules.
  • Monitor the progress of construction activities and adjust schedules to reflect changes or delays.
  • Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met by coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Identify potential risks or delays in the project timeline and propose corrective actions to mitigate any issues.
  • Review project scope and update schedules based on changes or modifications in scope, budget, or resources.
  • Track and report on project performance, identifying discrepancies between planned and actual timelines.
  • Assist with risk management by identifying schedule-related risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Understanding of TCO requirements and associated time frames.
  • NYC Experience Highly preferred

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Construction Scheduler in a commercial or residential environment.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to develop detailed, accurate project timelines.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations.
  • Certification in project management (PMP, CAPM, or similar) or scheduling (PSP, CCP).
  • Experience with cost control and budget management.
