Traveling Superintendent (Retail)

A Lead Superintendent role has opened up with a nationwide General Contractor that has been a leader in the retail industry for more than 25 years. Projects are across the country and all travel accommodations will be made by the company. Per Diem when away from home is $65 per day, and any auto reimbursements are based on IRS rules.

Base salary: $120,000 - $150,000 + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

  • Communicate with project team regarding RFI's, and Material Submittals.

  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.

  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards

  • Conduct weekly Subcontractor meetings and 3 week look-aheads.

  • Enforces Safety policies and establish a clean and secure job site.

  • Inspect workmanship and materials to adhere to Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) standards

  • Prepare progress reports, punch lists daily diaries, billing sheets, and maintain daily paperwork.

  • Coordinate and approve time and material costs with sub-contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in the field as a site superintendent

  • Retail and ground-up experience required

  • Must be able to perform layout on jobsite

  • Must be motivated and have the ability to manage subcontractors on-site

  • Must be able to review, update and maintain project schedule

  • Must have computer and email skills to communicate with team members on projects

  • Working knowledge of MEP systems and steel

  • Ability to understand and implement blueprints

  • Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with subcontractors and clients

  • Professional with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • OSHA Certification

  • Must possess valid/active drivers license.

The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
