Senior Accountant

One of the largest, global co-living companies in the world is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of accounting experience within the real-estate industry. Given the small team size and rapid growth, there is unlimited career upside.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping of the US market including AP, AR, closing entries, intercompany reconciliations

• Set-up and thorough follow-up of analytical accounting

• Prepare the financial statements, tax filings and other compliance requirements in collaboration with external accountants and/or tax advisors

• Book and monitor Monthly Payroll

• Support the Head of Finance to the preparation of quarterly consolidated figures to report to shareholders

• Ensure the accurate and timely monthly closings in compliance with local GAAP

• Collaborate and communicate with external auditors and local tax authorities

• Coordinate with the operational teams to gather inputs and smoothly close the books.

• Assist the financial controller in actuals vs budget analysis and budgeting process

• Prepare and/or review suppliers payments and intercompany payments within the Group

• Planning of payments and receivables to reduce working capital

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of accounting experience within the real estate industry

• Experience in an accounting firm is a plus

• Be independent and able to assess very well what he/she can decide or undertake him/herself and what he/she needs to escalate to the top management

• Analytical approach and problem-solving attitude. You can easily understand complex matters and come up with innovative and strong solutions

• Entrepreneurial mindset, you are a self-starter and eager to deliver the best results. You come up with great initiatives and you are a driver for continuous improvement. You're also of a curious nature.

• Exceptional communication skills

The Fair market Assumption for this role's base salary is between $100K and $110K annually.

The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
