Lead Superintendent role at a well-established HVAC Contractor, specializing in installations of heating systems for large scale commercial buildings. Working closely with the Sr. Project Manager, this is a management position, which will assume responsibility for pre-construction and construction phases, including new construction, retrofits, CHP and boiler installations, and repairs.
Location: Projects throughout NYC and the five boroughs
125,000 - 150,000 base salary + car allowance, benefits, bonus
Job overview: Manage installation and boiler repair projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee installation crews and subcontractors to ensure project quality, efficiency and completion
* Execute installations according to construction documents (drawings, specs, manuals)
* Attend site meetings with Architects, Customers, Engineers and City Agencies
* Consult with design engineers and subcontractors to assist in planning and organizing
* Establish and maintain excellent client relationships
* Train customers on equipment operation upon completion of the project
* Periodically attend job walkthroughs to assist with estimating
* Estimate change orders for active projects
* Assist in purchasing and procurement
Required Experience:
* 5-years of experience in commercial boilers and knowledgeable in: Steam heating systems, hydronic heating systems, pumps, fuel code, plumbing and electrical.
* Must be detail oriented, team player and have good follow-up skills.
* Must have effective written/oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
* Preferred but not required: Experience with Cogeneration (CHP), Chillers and General HVAC
Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000
