A growing vertically integrated real estate company based in Bergen County, NJ, is looking to add a payroll manager. The ideal candidate will have experience with ADP, processing multiple entities, and conducting two-step payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the full cycle payroll process for over 40 entities across multiple states, ensuring timely and accurate payroll submissions.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

  • Utilize payroll software to process payroll and generate reports. Continuously seek to improve payroll processes and systems.

  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management, including payroll summaries, tax liabilities, and other ad-hoc reports as needed.

  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits related to payroll.

  • Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.

  • Ensure accurate preparation and filing of payroll taxes, and manage year-end processes, including W-2 and other tax documents.

  • Maintain payroll records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll management experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

  • Proficiency in ADP Payroll software

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.

The Fair market Assumption for this role's base salary is between $100,000 and $120,000 annually.

The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
