Newly created Construction Project Manager position at an established NYC Construction Management/General Contractor with a growing portfolio of ground-up multi-family, mixed-use, and hospitality projects.

Working closely with the Executive Team, this business-critical position will be an integral part of the leadership as a client's representative overseeing projects from conception through completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and coordinate activities for the construction of complex projects

  • Create and monitor schedules for planning, design and construction, taking appropriate actions to ensure that projects are completed on schedule according to cost limitations

  • Interface with clients, construction managers, subcontractors, architects, and engineers; providing status updates and conducting walk-throughs

  • Generate standard procedures and make recommendations on company policies

  • Review change orders, interpret contract documents and shop drawing submittals/approvals

  • Advise senior management on appropriate action regarding contractors claims or disputed work

  • Perform buyouts of the Construction Trades.

  • Create and manage scopes of work, bid proposals, and budgets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture

  • 5+ years of experience in the construction field

  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing projects through all phases of construction

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Project, Blue Beam and Procore
